Colin is our longest serving veterinary surgeon and has been at the practice for over 40 years. He worked in Essex, Hertfordshire and Surrey before moving to Alton in 1974. Since 2006 he has moved to working with predominately small animals and has an interest in Birds. He is based between our Alton and Four Marks branches. He has a particular interest in skin disease and medicine and has a somewhat calming influence on wayward animals. Outside of the practice he enjoys spending time photographing butterflies.
Justin graduated from the Bristol Veterinary School in 1985 and initially worked in both the Alresford and Alton surgeries. He now works at the Alton and Four Marks Surgeries predominantly working with small animals. He is married with three children and endeavours to keep a badly behaved terrier and cats fit and well.
Martin joined Cedar Veterinary Group in 1988 and has spent 30 years working in a mixed practice environment, being interested and engaged by the variety of clinical work, in a rural veterinary practice. He now focusses on companion animal care maintaining an active interest in small animal medicine and surgery. Martin lives in Alton and much of his leisure time is filled with family life. In an effort to keep up Martin is a frequent visitor to the gym, runs, enjoys walking/being outdoors, seeing live music and suffering the ups and downs of being a Tottenham Hotspur supporter.
Charlie qualified from Liverpool University in 2004. He has worked at Cedar Veterinary Group since qualifying and became a partner in 2010. Charlie has a farming background and is mostly involved with the Equine side of the practice having a particular interest in equine dentistry. He is one of few vets to also qualify as an “equine dentist”. Charlie’s spare time is mostly taken up looking after his two young children but when time allows he tries to get out on his road bike as much as possible!
James graduated from Liverpool University in 2004. He worked in mixed practice in Northern Ireland and Mid Wales before moving to Alton in 2013 to be nearer to family. James enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine but is particularly interested in small animal surgery. In his spare time he will often be found out on his bike.
Laura has worked at Cedar Veterinary Group since August 2009. She enjoys all aspects of working in a mixed practice and has a keen interest in diagnostic imaging. In her spare time she plays the piano and guitar and enjoys many outdoor activities including skiing and surfing.
Katherine qualified from Sparsholt College in 2013 with a foundation degree in Veterinary Nursing. She really enjoys the surgical aspect of nursing and is hoping to develop her skills in this area. Outside of work she can be found halter training her two Dexter cows Jaffa and Jingle.
Emily started work at Cedar Veterinary Group in January 2015. She qualified in 2010 and is interested in all aspects of nursing, especially nurse clinics. In her spare time she likes to go clay pigeon shooting and can often be found walking her three dogs.
Amy started working at the Cedar veterinary group in January 2013. She has now finished her training and is a fully qualified veterinary nurse. She especially enjoys nurse clinics and theatre nursing and wants to develop her skills in these areas. Outside of work she enjoys riding her horses and can often be found out walking her Jack Russell, Henry. Amy's other passion is cycling; she and her partner Ben like to go for long rides at the weekends.
Lily completed her training with Cedar Vets and qualified as a veterinary nurse in 2015. Lily is our cat advocate for the practice as we are a silver level credited Cat Friendly Clinic and also works closely with local Cats Protection branches and has a very lazy cat called Maisy. In her spare time, Lily likes to cycle and snowboard in the Alps with friends.
Amy worked at Bristol vets school as an Animal Care Assistant before coming to us, 18 months ago. She has just started her nursing diploma at MYF College in Aldershot. In her spare time she enjoys rock climbing and keeping fit.
Having volunteered at Cedar Veterinary Group for 18 months whilst completing her Diploma in Animal Care, Fiona has recently joined as an animal nursing assistant with the ambition to become a Registered Veterinary Nurse in due course. Outside work Fiona enjoys horse riding, walking her German Pointer Rudy and spending time with her family.
Sam joined the practice in January 2017 as Practice Manager for the Alton and Four Marks branch. In her spare time Sam enjoys spending time with her cat and rabbit and mountain bike and road cycling.
Megan joined the practice in 2015 after completing a Diploma in Equine Management at Sparsholt College, in her spare time she enjoys competing at dressage events.
Sally joined the practice in 1989 and has had various roles within the practice during those years. In her spare time she enjoys walking her 2 Spanish Water Dogs.
Abi has worked for the practice since 1996 and qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in 2008. In practice Abi is responsible for clinical supplies and enjoys assisting with equine work. She has horses and Border Terriers and competes in horse trials in her spare time.
Tina joined the practice in 1987 as a veterinary nurse, since having her son she returned to work part time on our reception team. Tina is our insurance claim expert and has plenty of her own animals including dogs, cats and tortoises.
Marion joined the reception team in 2003; she is married with 2 grown up children. Marion enjoys travelling and exploring exotic parts of the world. She also spends a lot of time walking the newest addition to the family ‘Lizzie’ her much loved poodle-cross.
Diana joined the Cedar reception team in November 2009. She loves seeing all the animals and owners we meet each day. She has a particular interest in dogs, especially the large and giant breeds. Diana shares her home with her three dogs, a Golden retriever and two New Foundlands.
