Charlie Mitchell Director, BVSc BAEDT MRCVS
Charlie qualified as a Veterinary Surgeon from Liverpool University in 2004. He joined Cedar Veterinary Group in 2004 and became a partner of the practice in 2010. Charlie leads our Equine work and has a particular interest in Equine Dentistry.
Charlie spends his spare time with his wife and two children. He is also a keen cyclist and spends as much time as he can out on his road bike.

Chiara Bechis Clinical Lead, MRCVS, GPCert (FelP), PgCert VPS, CertAVP (GSAS)
Chiara qualified from the University of Milan (Italy) in 2005 and moved to the UK shortly after. She has been working in the south of England ever since; initially in Basingstoke and afterwards in a small animal hospital in Shedfield. After almost two years in emergency and critical care she joined Cedar Veterinary Group in 2015 and never looked back. Chiara enjoys all aspects of veterinary work and holds a post graduate certificate in feline practice and an advanced practitioner certificate in small animal surgery.
Outside of work she enjoys all types of outdoor activities and she is kept busy by a small but very energetic little person, two dogs and a ginger cat.

Lisa Rokebrand Clinical Lead, BVSc PgC(SAS) MRCVS
Lisa joined the Cedar Veterinary Group team in 2022. She qualified from the University of Pretoria (South Africa) in 2013 and worked in mixed practice in South Africa before immigrating to the UK in 2015. She initially worked in a large small animal and exotics hospital in West Sussex before moving to Hampshire in 2020 where she was lead Veterinary Surgeon of a small animal hospital in Basingstoke. Lisa has a keen interest in surgery, diagnostic imaging and cardiology and obtained a postgraduate certificate in small animal surgery in 2020, becoming an RCVS Advanced Practitioner in Small Animal Surgery in 2022.
Outside of work Lisa can be found swimming, playing water polo or rock climbing and is the owner of two naughty cats.

Chris Gilbertson Veterinary Surgeon, BVSc MRCVS
Chris joined Cedar Veterinary Group in January 2018 as a Veterinary Surgeon at our Alton surgery, he now works at both Alton and Alresford. He qualified in 2012 from Liverpool University and prior to working at CVG he worked in practices in Southampton, Devon and Cornwall. Chris has an interest in surgery and is a qualified Animal Acupuncturist.
In his spare time Chris can be found skiing, surfing and painting. Keep an eye out for examples of Chris’s art work at our surgeries!

Sophie Dolbear Veterinary Surgeon, BVSc MRCVS
Sophie graduated from Liverpool University in 2014 and started work at a mixed practice in rural Norfolk. She then locumed in Australia for a few months before moving to Hampshire & working in the New Forest for 18 months. She spent a year working & traveling in New Zealand before joining Cedar Veterinary Group Alresford in May 2020. She dedicates her time to small animal work now, with particular interests in arthritis management & dermatology within a general medicine interest.
When not at work, Sophie spends her time climbing mountains with her husband and also hangs out at her CrossFit gym. She has a bouncy lab puppy who she spends her weekends tiring out up said mountains!

Isobel Wickstead Veterinary Surgeon, BVSc MRCVS
Izzy graduated from the University of Bristol Vet School. She stayed on in Somerset working at a rural small animal practice before moving to a practice in North London. After her time in North London she decided she prefers the country life and is now based at Cedar Veterinary Group in Alresford!
When she is not working Izzy enjoys exploring lovely Hampshire on her bike or on foot and cooking. Recently she has a new addition to the family – Alfred the black lab puppy who occasionally makes an appearance on reception!
Lucy Hart Veterinary Surgeon, VetMB BA MRCVS
Lucy worked in small animal practice on the south coast before starting at Cedar Veterinary Group in the Summer of 2022.
She grew up locally, attending Eggar’s School and Alton College and then went on to study at Cambridge University.
Outside of work you’ll find Lucy at the gym training for powerlifting, spending time outdoors and travelling where ever possible!

Louise Murduck Head Veterinary Nurse
Louise joined Cedar Vets in June 2022, having spent 6 years in a busy hospital. She loves all aspects of nursing, especially theatre and imaging.
She has a Connemara pony called Otto, a spaniel called Molly and a rescue cat called Mr Tickle!

Tasha Page Registered Veterinary Nurse
Tash joined the Cedar Veterinary Group team as a 3rd year Veterinary Nurse Student in April 2022 and qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in November 2022. She has previously worked within two large referral hospitals. In 2018 Tash undertook the Blue Cross bereavement qualification and is very passionate about supporting clients through their losses.
Tash has a domestic long hair cat, three dogs, including a Border Collie (who is scared of sheep!), and two Ferrets. She enjoys going away in her Volkswagen camper van with her dogs and exploring the countryside. Tash has a keen interest in surgery and emergency and critical care.

Student Veterinary Nurses

Amy Gerrard Student Veterinary Nurse
Amy joined Cedar Veterinary Group in August 2021 as a Student Veterinary Nurse. Prior to starting at CVG Amy worked as an Animal Care Assistant/Receptionist at Vetsnow emergency for 4 years, and at an independent small animal practice in Winchester. Amy has a keen interest in medical nursing and emergency and critical care.

Mya Saines Student Veterinary Nurse
Mya joined Cedar Veterinary Group in April 2022. She previously worked in an elderly residential care home but decided to pursue a career working with animals. She is now a first-year Veterinary Nursing Student.
Having grown up in Alresford, Mya is now looking forward to progressing a career in her hometown. In her spare time Mya enjoys spending time with her friends and attending local festivals.

Reception & Office

Sarah Peet Practice Coordinator
Sarah joined Cedar Veterinary Group as a Receptionist at our Alton branch in October 2017, she now works at our Alresford branch as the Practice Coordinator. Sarah also works closely with our Cardiology referral team and organises cardiac referrals from other local practices.
Sarah owns 2 British shorthair cats and in her spare time plays netball for Ants netball club in the Basingstoke league.

Abbie Lilleywhite Receptionist/Pharmacy Coordinator
Abbie joined Cedar Veterinary Group as a Receptionist at our Alresford branch in March 2021. Whilst new to the Veterinary industry, Abbie has lots of experience from previous client care based roles.
Abbie enjoys travelling to new places. Prior to starting at CVG she spent some time in Australia travelling up the East Coast; she particularly enjoys experiencing new cultures and trying local cuisines. She also has a Dachshund called Milo who she enjoys walking through the countryside.
Charlie Mathewson Receptionist
Charlie joined Cedar Veterinary Group in June 2022, she enjoys meeting and greeting clients and talking about their animals.
She has 2 Cats and a dog called Ruby who she loves hiking with and taking to different places and in the warmer months likes to get out on her mountain bike.

Sally Elliott Accounts Manager
Sally joined Cedar Veterinary Group in 1991 and has carried out a variety of roles within the practice. Prior to joining CVG she worked for 12 years at a Veterinary practice in Haslemere. Sally now works as our Accounts Manager for all three surgeries.
Sally loves long walks with her Spanish Water Dog and generally enjoys the beach life on Hayling Island where she lives.

Suzy Fabian Accounts Coordinator
Suzy joined Cedar Veterinary Group in 1979 working at the surgery in New Farm Road. It was a much smaller practice predominantly doing farm work at that time. After an 11 month break, she rejoined and worked in Four Marks soon after it opened, then moved down to Alton for many years. Having gone full cycle she is now based back in Alresford.
Suzy enjoys spending time with her 3 Shih Tzu dogs; Ruby, Minty and Boo. She has a dressage horse and competes regularly throughout the year, having qualified several times for National Championships.

Lenny Office Dog
Lenny was rescued as a puppy in 2016, since then he has worked at a few different Vet practices. He has worked at Cedars for 3 years mainly supervising reception ensuring the smooth running of the day.
Due to his kind nature Lenny works voluntarily, taking only treats as payment.
