Out of hours care

If you need to contact us in an emergency please phone your normal surgery number.

An answer machine will give you the number for the emergency vet. This number is not a pager service so you will be able to speak to someone with experience of handling emergency calls.

You will be asked for the following information:

  • Your name and your pet’s name
  • Your best contact number (please do not withhold your number so if you get cut off we can call you back)
  • A brief description of your pet’s problem.

The vet will then call you back to discuss your pet’s condition and decide if advice is appropriate or to arrange for you to visit the surgery.

We pride ourselves on providing our own out of hours care. This means that you will be able to see the vets that you and your pet are used to in the surgeries you usually visit. In addition, if your pet is an in-patient they will not be transported to other veterinary facilities for their overnight care.
