Veterinary Surgeons:

Graeme Lunn

Graeme Lunn Bsc BVSc MRCVS

Graeme qualified as a Veterinary Surgeon at Bristol University in 1989. He joined Cedar Veterinary Group (CVG) in 1991 initially living at the Four Marks branch and working at our Alton practice; before joining the Alresford end of the practice where he is based now. Graeme became a partner of the practice in 1995. Prior to joining CVG Graeme worked at Animed for 2 years with large animals.

Most of Graeme’s career has been as a mixed practitioner spending a lot of time on the road doing large animal work. Recently Graeme has focused solely on the care and treatment of small animals. Outside of work Graeme enjoys playing a lot of tennis, going to the gym in the winter, working his dogs, fishing and travel.


Chiara Bechis

Chiara Bechis MRCVS, GPCert (FelP), PgCert VPS, CertAVP (GSAS)

Chiara joined CVG in June 2015 as a Veterinary Surgeon based at our Alresford branch. Chiara qualified from the university of Milan (Italy) in 2005 and prior to joining CVG she worked at Companion Care, Basingstoke and Animed Shedfield. Chiara has a particular interest in Feline medicine and holds a post graduate certificate in Feline Practice. In 2017 she also was awarded an Advanced Veterinary Practitioner Certificate (AVP) in general small animal surgery.

In her spare time Chiara enjoys outdoor sports swimming, running and hiking.


Maria Mighall

Maria Mighall MA VetMB MRCVS

Maria joined CVG in 2015 as a Veterinary Surgeon at our Alresford branch. Maria graduated from Cambridge university in 1994 and then worked as a Small Animal Vet in Swansea, Emsworth and most recently for 14 years in Basingstoke. She enjoys all aspects of small animal veterinary practice but has a special interest in medicine.


Registered Veterinary Nurses:

Maxine Evans RVN

Maxine Evans (Head Nurse, Registered Veterinary Nurse)

Maxine joined CVG in March 2015 as Head Nurse at our Alresford branch. She started Veterinary Nurse Training at the RCVS in 2007 and qualified in Spring 2012 with a Diploma in Veterinary Nursing.

Prior to joining CVG Maxine worked for 8 years at a mixed practice called Ystwyth Vets in Aberystwyth working with large animals; including in-patient care of calves, lambs and foals. Maxine is a Clinical Coach supporting our veterinary nurses with their training. She is also interested in team management, practice standards & maintenance, client & patient care, radiography and laboratory work.

In her spare time Maxine enjoys travel, water sports and camping/festivals & mindfulness. Maxine can also speak 5 languages (not fully fluent) English, Welsh, French, German & Swahili.


Suzie Jacob RVN

Suzie Jacob (Registered Veterinary Nurse)

Suzie joined CVG in June 2015 as a Veterinary Nurse at our Alresford branch. Suzie qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in 2005 and prior to joining CVG has worked at various small animal clinics around the South of England.


Ros Smith RVN

Ros Smith (Registered Veterinary Nurse)

Ros joined CVG in 1988 as a Receptionist and then as a Veterinary Nurse at our Four Marks branch. Ros qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in 1968 after completing her training at Fennell and Cathcart (now Cathcart and Winn) in Farnham, progressing to Head Nurse. Ros currently works at our Alresford branch.

Ros recently received a letter of recognition from the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) in honour of her 50 years anniversary as a qualified Veterinary Nurse!


Lindsey Childs RVN

Lindsey Childs (Student Veterinary Nurse)

Lindsey joined CVG in March 2017 at our Alresford surgery and started her training with us as a Student Veterinary Nurse in September 2017. Prior to joining CVG Lindsey studied for her Zoology BSc Degree at Royal Holloway University of London which included dissertation research in Indonesia with Buton macaques.

Lindsey enjoys talking to owners and getting to know their animals during nurse clinics, as well as caring for a range of patients especially rabbits. She is also interested in animal behaviour and applying this individually to patients to keep them comfortable whilst staying with us.

In her spare time Lindsey looks after her rescue cat Sooty, takes dance classes and bakes cakes and biscuits for the rest of the Alresford team to try!


ANIMAL NURSING ASSISTANTS:

Beki Gregory

Beki Gregory (Animal Nursing Assistant)

Beki joined CVG in September 2018 as an Animal Nursing Assistant at our Alresford branch and Beki will be starting her training with us in April 2019 to become a qualified Veterinary Nurse. Beki originally worked in theatre, qualifying with a BA in Theatre Arts, and spent 14 years as a stage and lighting technician, before deciding to change careers and retrain as a Veterinary Nurse. Beki also spent some time prior to joining CVG volunteering at our Alresford branch and working at Anderson Moores Veterinary Specialists. She is particularly interested in the care of rabbits and cats.

In her spare time Beki enjoys reading, crafts, spending time with family and friends and her white lionhead rabbit Albus


OFFICE & RECEPTION:

Sam Tate

Sam Tate (Practice Manager)

Sam joined CVG in October 1990. Prior to this she studied at college for a HND in Graphic Design and the spent 6 months travelling around the United States.

In her spare time Sam enjoys Card making, paper crafts and reading


Lorraine Lillywhite

Lorraine Lillywhite (Alresford Reception)

Lorraine joined CVG in March 2015 as a Receptionist in our Alresford branch. Prior to joining CVG Lorraine worked in a range of different roles.

Lorraine enjoys all types of crafts; in particular sewing & crochet as well as gardening & cooking. She also owns two golden retrievers which she enjoys walking & taking away on holiday in her motorhome.


Maddy Edwards

Maddy Edwards (Alresford Reception)

Maddy joined CVG in 2013 as a Receptionist in our Alresford branch.

In her spare time Maddy works on her farm where she lives with her family and cares for an assortment of animals; two of which are miniature horses, who can often be seen at the Cedar Veterinary Group’s stand at the local Alresford Show.
